An interesting looking survey in to the Values of people in the UK... http://www.valuescentre.com/ukvalues/.
The survey found our common values are: caring, family, honesty, humour/fun, friendship, fairness, and compassion.
It suggests we feel our national culture does not match up to the culture and priorities we would like to see - this gap is more pronounced than in many other surveyed countries around the world.
People in the UK say they most want caring for the elderly; accountability; affordable housing; caring for the disadvantaged, and; employment opportunities.
The report suggests we are a caring bunch, but for some reason our culture is not moving in a caring direction.
